O3+ D-TAN Pack Review

Hi Everyone,

My major skin concern for the summer is tanning. By skin tans badly and becomes 4-5 shades darker. The worst part is that there is never any sign of tanning on the neck. So, the color contrast looks weird and pathetic. I use sunscreens regularly and also wrap scarves around my face while stepping out in the sun which together help to reduce the tanning to a big extend. However, to get rid of the rest, I prefer using a D-tan mask. I bought this one from O3+ as it is a professional product used in salons. Also, it claims to have other properties too. My Experience with O3+ D-TAN Pack:

The product comes in a bulky, white plastic round plastic tub packed in a paper carton. Both the tub and the paper carton have details written on it. The plastic jar gives a salon-like feel to your storage unit. It is too bulky to carry around. But if you want to, you can as the cap secures tightly and there is another plastic flap that separates the cream from getting stuck in the cap. I do not have any complain with the packaging.

The product has a shiny, white color. The formula is very light, creamy and silky. Most de-tan packs have this similar formula. I used the one from Nature’s Essence before and that one was also the same. Even in parlors, the products look and smell like this.

The mask has a very strong smell due to the presence of peppermint, clove, eucalyptus, camphor and more. It is pretty refreshing and I love the smell. However, if you are sensitive to it, you may not like it. Most de-tan packs has this smell, but this one is much stronger.

The cream feels silky and smooth on the skin. Earlier when I tried de-tan facial at parlor or used a pack at home, I felt the white de-tan masks do not apply smoothly on the skin. But, I never had any such issue with this one. It is very light and spreads very smoothly and evenly. I prefer applying a very thin layer as it does the job well. Once you apply the pack, you will love and hate it at the same time. You will thoroughly enjoy the cooling sensation. However, it irritates the skin a lot for the first 2-3 minutes, which you may feel is unbearable at times. It is a very strong sensation probably due to the presence of peppermint, clove and camphor oils. The feel subsides after some time, but the initial feel is too tough to deal with. If you have very sensitive skin, you may not love this at all.

It does fulfill all the claims. Once I remove the mask, I see that the tan is removed and it has done a lot more. My skin looks brighter and clearer. I don’t know about hydration, but this mask does not make you crave for moisturizer. The skin looks soft and supple. The whitening effect is not artificial at all. The skin feels cool and calm. But, there is no calmness involved in the 3-4 minutes of mask-drying time; so keep that in mind while you buy it.

Overall, I am super happy with the product. It does work as an effective de-tan mask and more. It is expensive, but you get a lot of product which will last for more than a year. Also a basic de-tan treatment even in local parlors cost something around 300 bucks. So, this one is a guaranteed good product for your skin at a much reasonable price and thus is much more preferable.
